《天涯芬芳》講述戰爭年代中國閩僑為代表的華人如何支援抗戰的故事。楊子寒與劉玉茹為愛私奔南洋，在異國他鄉協助阿杉叔開辦茶行。恰逢國內抗日戰爭爆發，他們與南洋華人籌措資金參與同鄉會抗日活動及回國參戰、期間犧牲親情，愛情。
